Today, Penny and Darcien met at the church to start the Card Bee Outreach reboot.  They inventoried materials and tools.  Then they bent their hands and minds to creating spring inspired cards.

What is the Card Bee Outreach all about?  The church realized during COVID that many of our nursing home folks were not even allowed to leave their rooms.  This, of course, created a lonely environment that often led to depression.  ACHS decided that making cards might brighten the day for folks as they weathered the trials COVID lockdowns brought.

ACHS made cards throughout the fall.  A break interrupted the ministry and with our new home (6401 E 2nd St, Suite F, Prescott Valley), it became apparent that the ministry could resume.

Currently the ministry is making cards for nursing home residents. However, it is the desire of ACHS Card Bee Outreach to expand, eventually, to other areas in our community where a touch of color might bring some joy.

If you want to join us, we are meeting at the church on Tuesday mornings at 10a.  The time commitment is about 2 hours on Tuesdays, though you can leave earlier or stay later as inspiration and your schedule allow.
